Manage WEC’s hospital compound and supervise the maintenance team. The Sibanor compound includes the clinic and four residences. Other team members live off site. Act as host/hostess. caring for new team members and visitors. Other tasks can be taken up, depending on skills and gifting. Eg. children’s work in the church, pre-school, discipling church members, or support the work of the clinic. Probably the need to manage building projects.The hospital is able to use patient contact to identify those who have an interest in the gospel, who are wanting prayer, as they seek God’s help and healing for their medical problems. WEC works closely with the Gambian church and church members to take opportunities to preach to patients, pray with them and show the Jesus film on the ward.
Qualifications: There are no special qualifications required – useful skills would include practical ability, cooking, a love of hospitality and people. Flexibility and a willingness to try new things is essential. This would best suit an older couple with practical skills, but we are happy to consider other offers of help. Longterm workers would be required to learn a local language. Enabling you to contribute to the long-term strategy of the clinic and mission work.
