WEC Trek USA
Are you seriously considering God's calling on your life for long-term missions? Are you ready to take the next step? WEC Trek is a unique program aimed at tailoring your trip to your preferred location, timing and ministry interests.
Through WEC Trek, you can live the Great Commission for up to one year by working alongside WEC missionaries. Our multi-ethnic, multi-national, multi-denominational and multi-generational family of over 1800 cross-cultural workers is reflecting Jesus' love in a variety of ministries all around the globe.
We want to give you an opportunity to learn what it means to share your faith cross-culturally, and to demonstrate God's love practically by supporting WEC’s ongoing work around the world.
God's heart is for everyone to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4), and yet millions of people in this world have never heard the good news. Could God be calling you to trek to a faraway place in order to share the message with those who still need to hear?
The Distinctives of a Trek
WEC Trek is a unique short-term cross-cultural discipleship program geared to help you find your role in God's plan for the world by giving you the opportunity to:
- see the mission field up-close and personal,
- assist WEC long-term missionaries who are involved in ministries related to your specific interests and abilities,
- experience learning another language,
- ask God the question, "Is this what you want me to do for a longer period of time?".
The Trek program works within your time frame and offers year-round opportunities. It is a thorough program which includes pre-field and on-field mentoring, an eight-day orientation and a four-day debrief.
If you're serious about finding out where you fit into God's plan for the world…If you've done team trips and want a more realistic glimpse of cross-cultural ministry…If you want to grow deeper in your dependence on the Lord…then the Trek program may be just right for you!
